[ENGLISH]
Dear friends,
It is with great joy that I announce the beginning of the first Training Classes in Electricity in Guinea-Bissau tomorrow, under the Protocol between Templar Corps International and the State Secretariat for Communities of that country. Trainer João Carrilho arrived in Bissau today and has already held the first introductory session with the class, which was described as a very enthusiastic encounter.
As you know, the agreement was signed in November 2024, but it has been a significant struggle to get the project started, with the Portuguese Embassy in Bissau proving to be one of the major obstacles by insisting on processing the trainees’ internship visas under the general contingent of students registered by the Portuguese Government – a list that includes over 5,000 students (!) and creates a waiting period of several months. It’s not just AIMA!… One day, I may publish the emails, private messages, and all the efforts the team has made to bring this project to life, which, for now, is only just beginning! But many updates will follow in the coming days!
Thank you to everyone who has actively contributed to empowering a group of Guinean students and transforming their lives forever. Today, history was made. June 10th.
